2025 Winner – 2016 Pagani Huayra

The Pagani Huayra represents Horacio Pagani’s tireless pursuit of perfection, following eight years of relentless research and evolution in search of the finest technical solutions. The result is a car that is not only a performance marvel but a moving work of art. Built on a revolutionary carbo-titanium monocoque, the Huayra is powered by a Mercedes-AMG twin-turbocharged V12 engine, delivering an astonishing 730 horsepower. Every component, from the chassis to the smallest titanium bolt, each individually inscribed with the Pagani insignia, reflects an unparalleled dedication to precision and flawless execution. This example is one of just 100 Huayras produced worldwide and one of only 21 right-hand drive cars ever built. Having driven only 180 km since new, this Huayra remains in pristine showroom condition. A remarkable fusion of art, engineering, and exclusivity, the Pagani Huayra stands as one of the most extraordinary supercars of the modern era.

2024 Winner – 1994 McLaren F1

The 1994 McLaren F1 stands as an icon in the world of supercars. Powered by a bespoke BMW V12 engine and featuring a unique three-seater triangular configuration, it offers an unparalleled driving experience. Crafted with a carbon fibre body, the F1 epitomises the perfect blend of form and function. It was featured in Car magazine’s 50th birthday special edition, listed among their 50 greatest cars from 1962 to 2012. In 1995, a modified race car version of the McLaren F1 made history by clinching victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, outshining purpose-built prototype race cars despite not being originally designed for the track. This F1 had the honour of participating in the 20th Anniversary of the McLaren F1 Tour in Lake Garda, Italy, in 2012. It was also invited to Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in 2020, the first F1 to receive such an invitation.

2023 Winner – 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupe

The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, a remarkable two-seat sports car, embodies a rich heritage rooted in racing excellence. Produced from 1954 to 1957 as a gullwinged coupe and from 1957 to 1963 as a roadster, it is based on the company's 1952 racing car, the W194. It was unveiled alongside the 190 SL at the 1954 New York Auto Show. The "SL" in its name is derived from the German term "super-leicht," meaning "super-light," a reference to the vehicle's racing-bred lightweight construction. Originally delivered to Toronto, Canada, on May 3, 1956, this particular car has a documented history with two known owners. After being shipped back to Germany for sale, the car underwent a restoration at HK Engineering before being purchased and imported to Australia in 2022. The 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupe represents a timeless classic, embodying elegance, performance, and a rich automotive legacy that continues to captivate enthusiasts to this day.
