Honouring the influential Max Hoffman at Noosa Concours

The upcoming Noosa Concours on Saturday 13th July will honour the profoundly influential Max Hoffman, who played a pivotal role in shaping automotive culture.

Located within the Bowden’s Own Motorsports Display, attendees will have a rare opportunity to witness the cars that Max Hoffman introduced to the American market, such as the iconic Porsche Speedster, celebrating its 70th anniversary together with the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300SL.

Enthusiasts and collectors will gain insight into Hoffman's entrepreneurial spirit, his impact on the automotive industry, and the evolution of automotive design and technology during his era.

This celebratory display acknowledges Noosa Concours’ commitment to celebrating automotive heritage and excellence, further solidifying its reputation as a unique gathering for enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Curating the display, Chris Bowden of Ecurie Bowden and Bowden’s Own said:

”It is an honour to curate the display of such a profoundly influential figure in the automotive industry. In 1954 Max Hoffman re-shaped the American automotive landscape and fostered a global culture of performance and luxury that Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche and the likes, still aspire to.

In Australia, there are only a handful of Hoffman era Porsche Speedsters and 300SL's and we have secured some of them, however if there are any tucked away that we don’t know about, we would welcome you to get in touch.”
