Built on 6 December, 1965, at Porsche’s Stuttgart factory, this Irish Green 911 stands out as one of very few factory right hand drive cars constructed during the inaugural year of the 911 production. Notably, it was the only right-hand drive model built in 1965 featuring the desirable Irish Green (Irischgrunn) over tan trim that the car proudly retains today.
Originally delivered to Mr. W.S. Jones of Jersey in the UK's Channel Islands, this Porsche 911 remained in the UK until the mid-1980s when it was imported into Australia. Remarkably, the vehicle has preserved its matching numbers engine and transmission and has had surprisingly few modifications over the years.
Since the 1980s, the car has resided in both Queensland and Victoria, where it recently underwent a comprehensive restoration by Chequered Flag Restorations and Harrison's RRR, commissioned by Mr. Andrew Nikakis. Now part of the Bowden family’s car collection on the Sunshine Coast, this 1965 Porsche 911 remains a pristine example of classic automotive precision and style.
