The 1959 Porsche 356 T2A Reutter Cabriolet is a distinguished model from the final production run of the "A" series.
Delivered to its first owner in Nairobi, Kenya in the special order colour, Auratium Green, this right-hand drive classic spent over 45 years in Africa before being acquired in 2006 and transported to the United Kingdom for a comprehensive restoration. Under the expertise of marque specialist Roger Bray Restoration, the car was upgraded for long-distance touring, featuring a more powerful S90 engine, a 12V electrical system, an electric fuel pump, a high torque starter motor, an alternator with an inbuilt voltage regulator, inertia seatbelts, and 5.5" chrome wheels.
In 2023, after years of traversing Europe, the car was acquired by its current owner and received further restoration work by UK-based Export 56, under the watchful eye of Mick Pacey. Following completion, it made its way to Brisbane, where it continues to captivate as a beautifully restored piece of Porsche history.
