Noosa Concours d’Elegance | Mercedes-Benz W143 230 N Cabriolet B

#11
1936 Mercedes-Benz W143 230 N Cabriolet B

Engine: 2.3 litre - 6 cylinder
Output: 55 horsepower

This elegant 1936 Mercedes-Benz 230 N is an exceptionally rare example of pre-war German engineering, built at the historic Mannheim plant which was later destroyed during World War II. With only five owners from new, the car spent over 50 years in the care of its previous custodian, who commissioned a full Concours-standard restoration.

Finished in striking St. Moritz Blue with soft Bordeaux leather upholstery, a black mohair cabriolet roof, restored polished wood cabin detailing and correct dials and gauges, the car remains faithful to its original factory specifications.

Widely regarded by historians as one of the rarest Mercedes-Benz models of the era, very few survive today. With its timeless lines, original detailing and exceptional provenance, this is a beautifully preserved example of Mercedes-Benz’s pre-war craftsmanship and design excellence.
