Exhibiting timeless elegance and Italian craftsmanship, Maserati 3500 GT’s were produced by Maserati between 1957 and 1964. This car was manufactured in 1963 and originally delivered to Texas in the US, imported into Australia in 1984 and converted to right-hand drive, using authentic factory parts.
3500 GT bodies were built for Maserati by Touring (Italy) using the “Superleggera" technique of hand fabricating aluminium panels over a light tubular steel frame. This Series II 3500 GTI is powered by the six-cylinder, dual overhead cam, 235-horsepower alloy Maserati engine matched to a ZF five-speed gearbox. It has Girling disc brakes front and rear, the optional Borrani wheels, and a limited slip differential.
Following a comprehensive ground-up restoration between 1993 and 1995, this Maserati has received further enhancements under its current ownership, including a recently completed engine rebuild.
Having featured at the Melbourne International Motor Show and Motorclassica, this Italian coupe is not merely a showpiece but a regular participant in tours and runs, embodying the true spirit of classic car motoring.
