Noosa Concours d’Elegance | Jaguar XK150S

#12
1959 Jaguar XK150S

Engine: 3.4 litre - 6 cylinder
Output: 250 horsepower

Widely regarded as the pinnacle of Jaguar’s 1950s sports car lineage, the XK150S combined the marque’s celebrated performance heritage with refined design and engineering. Of all XK150s produced, the high-performance “S” models were built in very limited numbers, especially in right-hand drive roadster form. Just 44 examples were manufactured with the 3.4-litre engine, making this a particularly rare car.

Dispatched from the factory on 3 April 1959, this example was finished in the special-order colour of Speedwell Blue with a grey interior and black convertible top. It was also fitted with mechanical overdrive, believed to have been applied to only 34 cars, further enhancing its rarity and desirability. Every number on the vehicle matches the original identification plate and is confirmed by the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.

Totally restored in 2006, it was used sparingly until it underwent a detailed recommissioning by Concours Sportscar Restoration in 2025, presenting today as one of the finest surviving examples of this rare model.
