Completed on 29 November 1950 and delivered new to a buyer in Ivanhoe, Victoria, this Jaguar XK120 Roadster presents today in exceptional, period-correct form. Finished in original 1950s colours with non-upgraded mechanicals, correct steel wheels, and hubcaps, the car is a faithful representation of how it left the factory.
Raced early in its life at the 1951 Ballarat Motor Races, it was later modified for competition in the NSW State Hillclimb Championship during the late 1960s. Following decades of deterioration, a full restoration was entrusted to Concours Sportscar Restoration and completed in 2017. The objective was absolute originality, returning the car to factory-correct specification in every respect. The restoration involved extensive body repairs and sourcing correct early-series XK120 components to replace those lost or altered during its racing career. Every detail was attended to, resulting in a concours-standard, period-correct example of one of Britain’s most iconic sports cars.
