Introduced at the 1968 Paris Auto Salon as the successor to the 275 series, the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 quickly became known as the “Daytona”, a nickname coined by the media in honour of Ferrari’s 1-2-3 victory at the 1967 Daytona 24 Hour Race. The model represents the final chapter of Ferrari’s classic front-engined V12 grand tourers.
This 1973 example is a factory right-hand drive model, originally ordered in the UK and delivered in its striking original colour combination of Blue Chiaro Metallizzato over beige interior. After spending time in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia, the car underwent an exhaustive eight-year nut-and-bolt restoration beginning in 2014. Every aspect, from bodywork and paint to interior trim and mechanicals, was entrusted to leading Ferrari specialists, with an unwavering focus on authenticity, detail and craftmanship.
Completed in 2022, the car made its post-restoration debut at Motorclassica, where it took top honours in the highly competitive Ferrari 75th Anniversary class.
