This 1957 Aston Martin DB 2/4 Mk II, one of only 12 units exported to Australia, was first registered in South Australia in 1958. Part of a limited global production of 199 vehicles, it represents the evolution of the DB2/4, which it replaced.
The car was acquired in 1970 by the current owner’s family, believed to be the third owners. The car underwent a total restoration from 1999 to 2014, led by Concours Sportscar Restoration, with the engine rebuilt by Tim Gruber of Queanbeyan Engine Services. In 2024, Pat O’Shea of Pat’s Pro Restos refreshed the bodywork and interior detailing.
Since its restoration, this Aston Martin has been a prominent participant in Aston Martin Owners Club (AMOC) events, securing numerous accolades. Highlights include a 2nd place finish at a Lakeside track day and several Best in Show and Best in Class awards across various Australian events, underlining its competitive spirit and enduring appeal.
